Mechanical Design Engineer- Food & Beverage Full Time
Cairo, Egypt

Job Purpose

The Mechanical Design Engineer- Food & Beverage will join the Euronox Technical Office to add edge to Euronox installation projects and set it apart from competition.

Responsibilities will include layout of process and utility equipment in 2D equipment arrangements, creating process mechanical drawings using the 2D AutoCAD, 3D modeling of process and utility equipment, full 3D design of process and utility piping systems per PIDs and process engineers direction, creating piping drawings using the 3D models for bidding and construction purposes, equipment access and support platform design, pipe support systems, and extensive coordination of process piping and process mechanical designs with the entire technical office.

This is a skilled position requiring full-time hours in a combination of office and project site environments.

Primary Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer- Food & Beverage are to:

Design Equipment Layouts; 2D and 3D.
Design Platforms; 2D and 3D.
Understand and create PIDs; must be able to create piping drawings from PIDs and equipment arrangements.
Gather and organize information for developing design drawings; visit sites as needed to understand existing equipment arrangements and piping systems.
Oversee all aspects and details of process and utility piping.
Prepare general arrangements, plans, elevations, isometrics and details for use in bid packaging and construction.
Execute 3D model reviews with client (plus; using Navisworks).
Assist site managers with coordination issues on site.

Qualifications

BSc of Mechanical Engineering
3+ years of piping and equipment layout experience
Requisite proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D (3D and ISO and PID)
Requisite proficiency in SolidWorks; static analysis simulation and sheet metal is a plus
Tekla or Advance Steel, is a plus
Simulation is a plus
Ability to interpret PIDs and transpose that information into a piping layout.
Experience with design of Food and Beverage processes
Basic knowledge of pipe fabrication and installation
Proficient ability to extract BOQ from PID and layouts

Work Environment

Workdays/hours: Sun – Thu / 08:00 – 16:00
Work location: Office-based, travel up to 40%

Estimation Engineer Full Time
Cairo, Egypt

Job Purpose

The estimation engineer will estimate the costs associated with upcoming projects and the impact a project will have on the organization to determine if the project will be financially successful.

This is a skilled position requiring full-time hours in a combination of office and project site environments.

Primary Responsibilities

Analyze research data; before a project starts, the estimation engineer will analyze all preliminary research data to determine the project’s influence on the company and its investments. He/she will compile this information and present it to stakeholders in an easy-to-understand format.
Review project deliverables; to start gaining an understanding of the overall scope of the project. This involves reviewing RFQs, design packages, project drawings, and other deliverables to prepare for the estimation process.
Develop cost estimates and technical/financial quotations; use the preliminary research data and review of project deliverables to prepare the cost estimates for the entire project.
Manage current and previous estimations; after estimations have been created, the estimation engineer will edit and update the estimations as to the project changes. He/she will track and maintain all estimations for further analysis. He/she will evaluate changes and review estimations to ensure accurate project development.

Qualifications

BSc of Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
3-5 years of MEP, and HVAC estimation experience
Proficient knowledge and use of CAD, MS Project, and MS Office
Proficient ability to extract BOQ from P&ID and layouts
Full awareness of recent market prices
Excellent selling/negotiating skills
Technical documentation skills
Collaboration, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
